As a Senior Software Engineer, Data Platform, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining our data platform to support large-scale data processing and analytics. What you'll be doing
- Designing and implementing data pipelines and ETL processes
- Building and optimizing data storage and retrieval solutions
- Collaborating with data scientists and analysts to support their data needs
- Developing and maintaining data platform services and APIs
- Ensuring data security, integrity, and compliance with privacy regulations
- Troubleshooting and resolving data platform issues and performance bottlenecks
- Researching and recommending new technologies and best practices
- Mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior data engineers
- Participating in code reviews and maintaining code quality
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on data platform development
- Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
- C1/C2 English Level proficiency (both written and spoken English)
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and containerization
- Solid understanding of data modeling and database design principles
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred candidates will have a track record of successfully delivering data platform projects and driving data-driven decision-making. They will possess expertise in stream processing and real-time data analytics. Experience with data visualization tools and knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices would be advantageous.
We offer a full-time, US-hours remote job, 40-hour workweek Mon-Fri, with excellent prospects for long-term growth for an ambitious experienced Senior Software Engineer, Data Platform. We can offer HMO and other benefits to Philippine candidates.
