As a Senior Revenue Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate revenue recognition and financial reporting. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and apply your expertise in revenue accounting principles to analyze contracts, identify revenue recognition criteria, and support financial audits.
What you'll be doing
- Reviewing and analyzing revenue contracts to determine proper revenue recognition treatment
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies
- Collaborating with Sales, Legal, and Finance teams to assess contract terms and revenue implications
- Participating in contract negotiations to ensure revenue recognition compliance
- Conducting regular revenue reconciliations and variance analysis
- Preparing and reviewing revenue-related journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Assisting in the month-end and year-end close processes
- Supporting internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
- Staying up-to-date with changes in revenue recognition standards and implementing necessary adjustments
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification preferred)
- Significant experience in revenue accounting, preferably in a senior or supervisory role
- C1/C2 English Level proficiency (both written and spoken English)
- Strong knowledge of revenue recognition principles (e.g., ASC 606) and US GAAP
- Proficiency in financial accounting software and ERP systems
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong presentation and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams
Preferred candidates are detail-oriented and experienced Senior Revenue Accountant with a deep understanding of revenue recognition principles and regulations. Preferred candidates will have a track record of successfully analyzing complex revenue contracts, ensuring compliance, and supporting financial audits. We are seeking individuals who possess strong analytical skills, a drive for accuracy, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. CPA certification is preferred but not required.
We offer a full-time, US-hours remote job, 40-hour workweek Mon-Fri, with excellent prospects for long-term growth for an ambitious experienced Senior Revenue Accountant. We can offer HMO and other benefits to Philippine candidates.
