As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor to our development team, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend systems. What you'll be doing
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for backend system development
- Designing and implementing high-quality, scalable, and maintainable backend solutions
- Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code using industry best practices
- Conducting thorough testing and debugging of backend systems to ensure functionality and performance
- Optimizing and fine-tuning backend applications for maximum efficiency and scalability
- Performing code reviews and providing constructive feedback to team members
- Monitoring and troubleshooting production issues, providing timely resolution
- Participating in the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in backend technologies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Backend Software Engineer, with a focus on large-scale systems
- C1/C2 English Level proficiency (both written and spoken English)
- Strong proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or C++
- Experience with backend frameworks and technologies such as Node.js, Django, or Spring
- Solid understanding of database technologies, SQL, and NoSQL
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and containerization
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities
Preferred candidates will have extensive experience in designing and developing backend systems in a similar industry or domain. They will possess a deep understanding of software design principles and have a track record of delivering high-quality code on time. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in mentoring junior engineers would be advantageous.
We offer a full-time, US-hours remote job, 40-hour workweek Mon-Fri, with excellent prospects for long-term growth for an ambitious experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer. We can offer HMO and other benefits to Philippine candidates.
