As a Rust Developer, you will be an integral part of our team, working on innovative social platforms and projects using the Rust programming language. What you'll be doing
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand social application requirements and design robust solutions using Rust
- Developing and maintaining high-quality, efficient, and scalable Rust code for social platforms and features
- Implementing secure and performant APIs for seamless integration with external services and social networks
- Optimizing application performance and identifying areas for improvement to enhance user experience
- Conducting code reviews, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring code quality and best practices
- Troubleshooting and debugging issues in production and implementing timely solutions
- Keeping up to date with the latest advancements in Rust programming language and social application development
- Participating in the planning and estimation of development tasks and contributing to the overall technical roadmap
- Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define and refine social application features
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- C1/C2 English Level proficiency (both written and spoken English)
- Strong proficiency in Rust programming language and its ecosystem
- Experience in developing and maintaining large-scale, production-grade applications using Rust
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, data structures, and algorithms
- Knowledge of web development frameworks and libraries, such as Rocket, Actix, or Warp
- Familiarity with databases, both relational and NoSQL, and experience in designing efficient data models
- Understanding of security principles and best practices for developing secure applications
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and debug complex issues
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively in a remote team
Preferred candidates are a skilled Rust Developer with a passion for social projects and a deep understanding of the Rust ecosystem. We are looking for individuals who have hands-on experience in developing large-scale social applications using Rust. Candidates who are familiar with social media integrations, real-time communication protocols, or blockchain technologies will be highly valued.
We offer a full-time, US-hours remote job, 40-hour workweek Mon-Fri, with excellent prospects for long-term growth for an ambitious experienced Rust Developer, Social (Remote). We can offer HMO and other benefits to Philippine candidates.
