Magento Back End Engineer (Remote)

As a Magento Back End Engineer, you will work remotely to support our e-commerce clients' websites. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of back-end functionality using PHP, Magento 2, and other related technologies.
What you'll be doing
- Developing and maintaining back-end functionality for Magento 2 e-commerce websites
- Collaborating with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Identifying and troubleshooting technical issues and bugs
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation for projects
- Ensuring code quality through code reviews and testing
- Keeping up to date with industry trends and developments in e-commerce technology
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to project planning
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
- Taking ownership of assigned tasks and seeing them through to completion
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- C1/C2 English Level proficiency (both written and spoken English)
- 3+ years of experience in back-end development using Magento 2
- Expertise in PHP and related technologies
- Strong knowledge of web development concepts, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
- Experience with Git version control
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred candidates that have experience with AWS or other cloud services, Docker and containerization, great familiarity with front-end technologies and frameworks and have Magento 2 certification. Candidates must be amenable to work during US business hours.
We offer a full-time, US-hours remote job, 40-hour workweek Mon-Fri, with excellent prospects for long-term growth for an ambitious experienced Magento Back End Engineer (Remote). We can offer HMO and other benefits to Philippine candidates.
