Backend Software Engineer

As a Backend Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing the server-side of web applications. You will collaborate with other teams to develop functional and reliable software solutions that meet our company's needs.
What you'll be doing
- Developing high-quality software design and architecture
- Developing backend services using Java, Python, Node.js, or Ruby on Rails
- Integrating front-end components into applications
- Deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting cloud-based services
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize software features
- Writing clean and efficient code
- Performing code reviews and ensuring coding standards are followed
- Developing and executing unit tests to verify the functionality of the code
- Staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software engineering
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field
- C1/C2 English Level proficiency (both written and spoken English)
- Proven experience as a Backend Developer or similar role
- Experience with Java, Python, Node.js, or Ruby on Rails
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Knowledge of databases such as MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred candidates who are self-motivated, have strong communication skills, and possess a passion for software engineering. We prefer individuals with experience in Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and continuous delivery.
We offer a full-time, US-hours remote job, 40-hour workweek Mon-Fri, with excellent prospects for long-term growth for an ambitious experienced Backend Software Engineer. We can offer HMO and other benefits to Philippine candidates.
