As a Back End Web Application Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and high-performance web applications. You will work closely with the front-end team to ensure seamless integration of web applications.
What you'll be doing
- Developing and maintaining server-side web application logic
- Building reusable code and libraries for future use
- Implementing data storage solutions and integrations with third-party services
- Collaborating with the front-end team to ensure a smooth and responsive user experience
- Participating in code reviews, testing, and debugging
- Staying up-to-date with emerging web technologies and trends
- Providing technical expertise and guidance to the team
- Identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks
- Documenting technical specifications and processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- C1/C2 English Level proficiency (both written and spoken English)
- Strong proficiency in at least one back-end programming language such as Java, Python, or Ruby
- Experience with server-side frameworks such as Spring, Django, or Ruby on Rails
- Knowledge of RESTful API design principles
- Familiarity with database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred candidates that have prior experience in the position of a back-end web application engineer, coupled with familiarity with front-end web development technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Candidates must be amenable to work during US business hours.
We offer a full-time, US-hours remote job, 40-hour workweek Mon-Fri, with excellent prospects for long-term growth for an ambitious experienced Back End Web Application Engineer (Remote). We can offer HMO and other benefits to Philippine candidates.
